Allies for Health + Wellbeing is thrilled to announce plans for our 40th Anniversary Celebration. This year, we are reflecting on the challenges and changes that PATF – and now Allies – has faced through the last four decades. The road has been long, and our mission-driven commitment to healthcare access and community remains unwavering.

This year, we will dig into our history, stemming from the foundation laid in 1985 when a group of committed volunteers came together to support those in our region living with HIV. The advocacy, contributions, and collective efforts of our founders made a significant difference in the early years, and Allies continues that legacy today through our medical clinic, HIV support services, and community health.

The 40th Anniversary Celebration will continue to bridge the work of our past, and the needs of our communities today. For the Allies 40th Anniversary celebration, we invite you to join us as sponsors that serve as active partners in our mission of serving those living with, and at risk for developing HIV.  The funds raised through this event will be utilized to serve our mission and the more than 3,000 individuals who access our services each year.

Honoring Excellence: During the event, we will celebrate the recipient of the 2025 Kerry Stoner Award and our constellation of Bright Young People. The Kerry Stoner Award is presented annually by Allies for Health + Wellbeing to someone who has shown commitment to Stoner’s legacy and vision. Stoner was one of the founders of the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force and died of complications of AIDS in 1993.

Now in its fourth year, Allies’ Bright Young People program recognizes people who are making a real and tangible difference in our community and working toward a bright future, particularly in the realm of diversity, equity and inclusion. The Bright Young People are making their mark through their art, their careers and their activism.

This year’s theme celebrates our 40th Anniversary, invites guests to reflect on the past four decades of impact together while also envisioning Allies’ future. At the historic Roxian Theatre, patrons will spoil themselves with delicious party treats and complimentary bar, and the birthday party will be marked with a decadent Feast of Sweets! Dance the night away and enjoy exclusive performances from Pittsburgh’s newest and cutting-edge DJs, art performances, and a rock concert with Sherry CD-ROM.

Join Us: On Friday, April 11, 2025, Allies for Health + Wellbeing invites you to celebrate our 40th Anniversary, join our cause, and support 40 incredible years of service. Together, we can continue to make a difference in Pittsburgh and across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
